In short

What is Meta (Facebook & Instagram) Ads Management? We run Facebook and Instagram campaigns as a full funnel, with server-side tracking and a creative testing system that keeps performance from decaying.

What can you expect from this work?

  • Lower cost per purchase or qualified lead
  • Improved event match quality after Conversions API rollout
  • A repeatable creative pipeline instead of one-off posts
  • Clear separation between new customer acquisition and retargeting

Overview

Meta ads management is the practice of planning, producing and optimizing paid campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and the Audience Network so that spend generates measurable demand rather than vanity engagement. Meta is not a search channel. Nobody opens Instagram to buy your product. That single fact should shape every decision in the account.

Moon Workshop is a Meta Business Partner and has been running social campaigns for local and international brands since 2013, from our offices in Antalya, Türkiye.

Demand creation works differently from demand capture

On Google, the user tells you what they want. On Meta, you have to earn attention first and create the want. This changes what the account should look like:

  • The creative carries most of the performance, far more than bid settings or audience micro-targeting
  • Offer framing matters more than keyword matching
  • The funnel needs a prospecting layer that is measured on new customer acquisition, not on blended ROAS
  • Retargeting flatters the report; it usually harvests demand another campaign created

We build the account so that these layers stay separate and each one is judged by the right metric.

Tracking: the part that decides everything else

Browser-based pixel tracking alone no longer captures a reliable picture of conversions. Before campaign work begins, we align three things:

  1. Pixel and Conversions API sending the same events, with proper deduplication so purchases are not double counted
  2. Hashed customer parameters — email, phone, name, location — passed with the event to raise event match quality
  3. Value parameters that reflect real order value, so value-based bidding has something honest to optimize toward

Event match quality is one of the few diagnostic scores in Ads Manager worth watching closely. When it is low, the algorithm is guessing about who converted, and every downstream decision inherits that error.

Campaign structure

Funnel stage Objective Audience What we measure
Prospecting Sales or Leads Broad, interest, lookalike Cost per new customer
Mid-funnel Sales or Traffic Video viewers, engagers Cost per qualified visit
Retargeting Sales Site visitors, cart abandoners Incremental revenue
Retention Sales Existing customers, list uploads Repeat purchase rate
Catalog Advantage+ Shopping Dynamic product audiences ROAS

Broad targeting with strong creative frequently outperforms narrow interest stacking, because Meta’s delivery system finds buyers faster than a manually built audience can. We still test both, but we start from the structure that gives the algorithm room to work.

Creative is the real targeting

A campaign does not fail because the age range was 25-54 instead of 25-45. It fails because the first three seconds gave no reason to stop scrolling.

Our creative process is built as a pipeline, not a series of favors:

  • Concept batches. Each batch tests one hypothesis — a pain point, a proof format, a price framing — across several executions.
  • Format coverage. Static, carousel, and vertical short video, because placement performance varies and Reels behave differently from Feed.
  • Naming discipline. Every asset is named so that creative-level reporting is possible months later.
  • Fatigue monitoring. Frequency, first-time impression ratio and CTR decay tell us when a concept is finished, usually before CPA visibly rises.
  • Refresh rhythm. New assets enter on a schedule instead of in a panic.

Working with what you already have

Many brands have usable raw material sitting unused: customer photos, unedited product footage, support conversations, review text. We often get further by restructuring existing material into ad-native formats than by commissioning a studio shoot.

E-commerce catalogs and Advantage+

For online stores, the catalog is infrastructure. Feed errors, missing product images, wrong availability status and untracked variants silently limit reach. We audit the catalog, apply feed rules for titles and categorization, and connect it to dynamic product ads and Advantage+ shopping campaigns.

Advantage+ campaigns need a clear rule for how much of the budget is allowed to go to existing customers. Without that cap, the campaign optimizes toward the cheapest conversions available, which are almost always repeat buyers.

Serving international markets from Antalya

We manage Meta accounts targeting Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and the United States alongside our Turkish clients. Practical differences matter more than strategy decks: German audiences respond to specificity and proof, UK audiences to clarity of offer, Dutch audiences to directness and price transparency.

Copy is written natively per market. Creative that references a season, a holiday or a payment method is adapted rather than translated. Landing pages are matched to the market’s language and currency, because a mismatch there wastes every click that arrives.

What reporting looks like

Monthly reporting covers spend, orders or qualified leads, cost per acquisition by funnel stage, creative-level performance, and the tests that ran with their outcomes — including the ones that failed. Failed tests are informative and we report them; an agency that only shows wins is not testing enough.

Prospecting, engagement retargeting and customer retention campaigns with separate budgets, audiences and success criteria.

Creative production system

Static, carousel and short video concepts produced in batches, with a naming convention that makes creative-level analysis possible.

Process

How we proceed

The steps are fixed; duration and depth change with the scope of the work.

  1. Step 1

    Account discovery

We review historical performance, audience assets, creative archive and the current measurement setup across web and app.

  2. Step 2

    Tracking foundation

Pixel and Conversions API alignment, event mapping, domain verification and value optimization prerequisites.

  3. Step 3

    Structure and creative brief

Funnel design, audience strategy, offer framing and a first creative batch briefed against clear hypotheses.

  4. Step 4

    Launch and learn

Controlled launch with enough budget per ad set to exit the learning phase, followed by structured elimination of weak variants.

  5. Step 5

    Scale and refresh

Winning concepts are scaled and systematically refreshed before fatigue erodes performance.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The topics clients ask about most before a proposal.

Are Facebook and Instagram ads still effective?
Meta remains one of the largest demand generation channels, particularly for products that can be explained visually. Performance depends far more on creative quality and tracking accuracy than on the platform itself. Accounts that lost performance after iOS privacy changes usually recover a significant part of it once the Conversions API is implemented correctly.
What is the Conversions API and do I need it?
The Conversions API sends conversion events from your server directly to Meta instead of relying only on the browser pixel. It reduces signal loss caused by ad blockers, browser restrictions and tracking prevention. Any account that optimizes for purchases or leads benefits from it, and for e-commerce it is effectively required.
How much creative do you need per month?
It depends on spend level and audience size, but creative fatigue is the most common cause of rising costs. We plan creative in batches with a fixed refresh rhythm rather than producing assets reactively when performance drops.
What is the minimum budget to start?
There is no universal minimum, but each ad set needs enough weekly conversions to leave the learning phase. If the budget is too thin to generate that volume, we consolidate the structure and reduce the number of ad sets rather than spreading spend thin.
Do you handle ads in languages other than Turkish and English?
We regularly run campaigns targeting Germany, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Copy is written or reviewed by native speakers rather than machine translated, because a literal translation of a Turkish hook rarely works in German or Dutch.
